Because we don't believe a third-party app should hold your bank credentials. Bank connections via Plaid, MX, or similar aggregators require you to give those services your login credentials, which they then use to access your accounts. That's a security risk and a privacy compromise we're not willing to ask of our users.

Saielo's design is different: you tell Saielo what's in your accounts (roughly), what comes in monthly, what goes out monthly, what you're saving for. Saielo models the long horizon based on what you say, not based on real-time bank data. Less precise, far safer, and frankly more useful for long-horizon planning where exact daily balances matter less than rough rhythms.

No. Saielo is a planning tool that models your finances based on what you tell it. The projections are informational, not advisory. Saielo does not recommend specific investments, products, or strategies.

Your plan is encrypted on your device with a key only you control. Our servers store an opaque blob — we cannot read it. See the privacy policyfor details on encryption, what we collect, and what we don't.

To ship a quality v1.0, we focused on a single platform. iPhone first because Apple's privacy primitives align with Saielo's design. Android is a likely future addition; web is less likely (the encrypted-on-device model is harder to do well in a browser).

v1.0 ships in English. Arabic, Spanish, and French translations are partially built but not review-ready. We're prioritizing depth of experience in one language over surface-level support across many.

Arabic is the priority for v1.1, given Saielo's Saudi origin.

Partially. Reading your plan, browsing the chart, and reviewing brief cards work offline because everything is stored on your device. Sending a new conversation message or running a what-if scenario requires an internet connection because Saielo uses an AI service for natural-language understanding.

Monthly check-ins also require connection — Saielo computes the diff and updates the plan via the AI service.

Sign in with your account credentials on a new iPhone. Your encrypted plan blob is fetched from our servers, your encryption key is derived from your credentials, and your plan decrypts on the new device. Your data is recoverable as long as you remember your sign-in.

Settings → Delete account, from inside the app. Or email saiel@saielo.com from your account email. Hard-deletion completes within 30 days. See the deletion guide.

The core experience will remain functional and useful at no cost. A Pro tier with advanced features may be introduced later. Early access users will be grandfathered with a meaningful benefit when that happens. See the subscription page.
